And more than a month passed without writing — at least, without writing here.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been deep in the Story Genius practice. I now have a nearly complete blueprint — in bullet points and ideas — for not one but two books. I’m currently working through the final exercise: drafting the first five “scene cards.” If you’re unfamiliar with the method, go read the book.
I also finally found an app that actually works for my brain. Visual, organized, interconnected, and intuitive. It’s called Milanote, and it has become my entire writing universe. I have the full book mapped out there — every little detail except the final prose itself — and it feels like the first time my story truly lives in one place.
Meanwhile, life kept moving; Kids were fed and loved, work was relentless in all the usual ways, and I even managed to start and stick to a four-day-a-week gym routine.
All in all, I’m ending the year feeling grounded, focused, and strong.
Let’s keep on walking.
