When the Moon Hatched: A Novel by Sarah A. Parker
At 36% in the book, I am reaching that point when I cannot put the book down. Which is going to be an issue for the next couple of days, since I aim to sleep at least 7h a night! They say it’s important, mental health and stuff…
Small alert on spoilers from now on! Will try not to spoil, hate that. But sometimes is unavoidable.
My first remark is, the English is remarkable. Meaning, lot’s of words to look over for, an experience that is not quite common after years of reading in English. Kudos to the author and a big thanks to Kindle, making my life easier with the embedded dictionary.
Second remark is the amazing lack of fear of the main character (chapter 22). Loved that bit of since is all going to hell, better go with a bang thing. No self-preservation when there’s nothing to preserve anymore, no crouching, no bending, no better-not-to-say-this. It was a refreshing reading.
Third remark, the time passing names (not sure if can define it like that, though). Not a big deal, find it kind of intuitive that day=dae…not sure what the Instagram complains were about.
Forth and last: I love dragons, a girl with a feisty spirit and a tall, broad chest. So will try to slow down my read and enjoy as much as possible. Unfortunately, you can only read a book for the first time once.
PS: Yesterday worked 3h on the lining of the first 6 chapters of my book. Also did some math (me being me, right?) and realised that more 45 chapters are needed do finish the book. Ah! Assuming circa 15 minutes per chapter. Nothing as a good old math to make things feel real.
PS2: I am weird, I know. Let’s please enjoy it. Thank you.
